Privacy

What this site collects: almost nothing

You can read every page here without an account and without signing up. This page explains the little we do handle, in plain language.

The contact form

If you write to us, we receive the name, email address and message you typed. We use them to reply to you and for nothing else. They are not sold, shared or added to any mailing list.

Cookies and analytics

We count visits so we can see which guides people find useful. Google Analytics does that counting, and it sets its own cookies in your browser so a repeat visit can be told from a new one. It records the pages you view, an approximate location worked out from your IP address, and what kind of device and browser you use. It never receives your name, email address, or anything you write to us. Our website provider, Cloudflare, also adds one small script to every page, which counts page views and how quickly they load. That one sets no cookie.

Neither is used for advertising, neither is tied to who you are, and nothing here follows you to other websites. We do not sell or share what they record. You can block cookies, or use a browser or extension that blocks these scripts, and every page on this site still works.

Server logs

Like almost every website, our web server and its network provider keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.

Deletion and questions

Want a message you sent us deleted, or have any privacy question? Use the contact form and we will sort it out.
