What we are

A free, not-for-profit library of plain-language technology help for Australians. We explain what to do, in what order, and when to use an official service such as Scamwatch, ReportCyber or IDCARE.

What we are not

• Not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice. For decisions with real consequences, talk to a qualified professional.
• Not a case-handling service. We do not take on individual matters, investigate incidents, or act on anyone’s behalf.
• Never a funds-recovery service. We will never offer to get scammed money back for a fee. Anyone offering that in our name is an impersonator, and paid “money recovery” offers are a well-known follow-up scam.

Your setup is unique

Guides describe common situations. Software versions, devices and accounts differ, so a step can look different on your screen or carry a risk we could not foresee. Where a step could cause data loss we warn you first, and you follow guides at your own judgement.
